I have been playing poker online for almost three years. I thought I'd seen it all. But yesterday, I saw someone quit a SNG. It wasn't like they were disconnected and never got back on. This person gave up.
We were maybe 10 hands into the SNG (a $30+3 on Stars) and I was dealt AQ on the button. Three of us saw the flop. It came down AK2. The quitter bet a little less than half the pot, the guy between us called and I raised the pot. The quitter pushed all-in. I didn't think he had AK, because he only min raised pre-flop, so I called. He flipped over AJ and didn't improve.
He had me covered so he still had 180 left.
The blinds were still only 10/20 so he still had a shot to recover with some good cards and some luck. But he quit. He immediately left the table and we blinded him out over the next 20 minutes.
I look forward to playing him again.
