Well, I did a rather silly thing last week. I bought an Xbox 360 package off Walmart.com.
One of my co-workers really wanted one badly and was monitoring a real-time Xbox 360 inventory tracking website last Tuesday. The listing for Wal-Mart had be going in-stock and out of stock all morning and he had not been able to get one when it was listed as in-stock. I got the link from him and started trying to get one for him. Well, all of a sudden the Wal-Mart link worked and I had an Xbox 360 package in my cart. My friend got one too, so I had to decide what to do. I kind of wanted one, but I decided I could make some easy money off Ebay if I sold it.
Amazingly the system showed up on Friday. I posted it on EBay that night. Here's the auction so you can see how badly I did. It ends tonight at 10 Eastern/7Pacific and I won't get anywhere near my reserve price.
Since the 360 is really cool, I don't mind having to keep it. But I would have rather made $200 from selling it. Here's a picture of the box (from the auction):
